Use the teapot form as a vehicle for expression to create teapots that defy the ordinary! The teapot has a very basic formula that gives you certain parameters to work within: handle, spout, and lid. We will explore the endless possibilities and combinations for creative sculpting within this formula and push the limits of our imaginations to create otherworldly vessels. Students will develop ceramic hand-building skills as well as learn about glaze applications. We will look at examples of historical and contemporary teapots for reference and inspiration.

  • All materials are provided.
