Learn to properly document your artwork. In this class students will learn proper photographic lighting techniques, camera basics, tricks for minimizing glare, digital archiving, and how to problem solve while photographing challenging pieces of work. This class is best suited for students with basic photography knowledge. Students should bring their DSLR or similar camera to class. All other materials will be provided. A lunch break will be provided on Saturday; students are encouraged to bring a bag lunch.

Courtney, Alexis

Alexis Courtney is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, video, and installation. She graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with a Masters of Fine Art in 2013. In 2006 she received a Bachelors of Fine Art from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She has worked in New York and San Francisco as a digital tech and artists assistant, where retouching and fine-art printing were her main tasks.
