Delve into the fundamentals of this extremely versatile and fun printmaking process. Create screens for printing on paper, fabric, photographs, and even wood. Students will learn to use hand-painted block outs, drawing fluid, and photo-emulsion to aid in their personal expression. This class is suitable for those with all levels of experience to continue exploring the medium. Basic materials are provided; the instructor will work with students to purchase other necessary materials.

Robertson, Travis

Raised on a tomato farm in Hanover county, Travis Robertson honed his squeegee skills in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley at the art department of James Madison University. From 2003-2007 he served as the assistant editor of The Drama, a quarterly arts magazine for contemporary art, design, and illustration. Today, he is the art director for Spacebomb Records, and sole proprietor of Archaic Mess, a modest printshop located in the Northside of Richmond, VA.
