Explore figurative sculpture based on Degas’ sculptures of dancers. Sculpting three-dimension forms forces you to cross the midline of your body which opens new pathways in the mind and improves spatial awareness. We’ll learn about proportion, basic sculpting techniques and how to use an armature. We’ll also explore adding mixed-media components, as Degas sometimes did. You’ll walk away with a sculpture that can air-dry.

  • All materials provided.
  • Please note that for weekend workshops occurring on both Saturday and Sunday: Saturday classes run from 10 AM - 4 PM, Sunday classes run from 1 - 4 PM.
