We’ll discuss ways to approach the challenge of writing a new poem a day for a month. There will be model poems to consider, prompts to try on the spot, and a month’s worth of prompts to take away for later. Students will also be invited to join a Google Group to post and share daily poems until the end of the month to vie for a $25 prize.

  • $100 Poem of the Day Competition: Immediately after the workshop we will hold a free public reading at 12:15pm. Participants are limited to one poem each, and workshop attendees get dibs on the first reading slots. Poems read must have been written during the first 15 days of April. There will be cash awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for the Poem of the Day. For more details, click here.
