Whether you’re just beginning to paint or ramping up your personal practice at home, it’s smart to take the proper precautions when working with oil-based paints, acrylic paints, varnishes, media and solvents. We’ll discuss alternatives to using solvents and how to safely clean brushes, remove paint from palettes and dispose of rags. Finally we’ll go over ventilation, skin protection, cleaning practices and how to organize your materials.

  • A lunch break will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch.
