For home-school families, we offer studio-based arts courses in media that can be difficult to practice at home. Join a new community of other homeschool families and expand your students’ artistic skills and knowledge.

Learn techniques such as sawing, hammering, riveting, and texturing and develop a deeper understanding of metal fabrication. Create extraordinary works of metal art with an emphasis on recycling and reuse of materials in the metalworking studio.

Metzfield, Jeannine

Jeannine’s journey forged a path into metalsmithing in 2002. She has studied Metals at Virginia Commonwealth University, The Visual Arts Center, Arrowmont and Penland School of Crafts. She currently teaches metalsmithing at The Visual Arts Center, as well as to private clients. In her studio she is inspired by the beauty and strength of nature. In her classes she promotes caring for the earth and connection to spirit.
