Explore encaustic painting, an ancient method we’re updating with new equipment and materials. You’ll use pigment, beeswax and natural dammar resin to harden the paint and give it shine. Work on your own projects or follow the step-by-step demos of this luminous flexible medium. We’ll also explore melting and fusing, creating layered patterns with unique rubber stencils, embedding paper, leaf imprints and casts, and creating texture.
