Make faces out of clay! Create functional and sculptural objects that incorporate the figure while learning slab, pinching and coil-building techniques. Make a knee mask using your knee as a mold, learn about the history of face jugs, and more! This class works with traditional clay.

Parrish, Claire

Claire Parrish is a potter and sculptor living in Richmond, VA. Claire received her BFA in Ceramics as well as a BFA in Art Education from the University of Georgia and moved to Richmond from Athens, GA in June of 2015. She currently makes work out of her studio at Plant Zero Artist Studios and enjoys teaching both youth and adult ceramics classes at the Visual Arts Center.
