Explore filigree, an ancient technique for creating delicate motifs in jewelry and metalwork that is usually made with twisted silver or gold threads. You’ll focus on silver filigree and be introduced to detail decorations using silver wire. Develop skill, craftsmanship and attention to detail with designs in both jewelry and metalsmithing.

Liang, Haiyin

Haiyin Liang is a craft artist specializing in the contemporary jewelry and metalsmithing. She is currently in the MFA program in Craft and Material Studies Department at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). She received her BFA degree at Colorado State University in Metalsmithing and Jewelry concentration in 2016. She taught a metalsmithing class: Filigree and Cloisonné at VCU as well. Her Metalsmith skill and attention to detail allow her to create delicate and exquisite works.
