In a series for educators, we hold one class each session which includes a lecture on a relevant topic, resources, and time for sharing, art-making and socializing with fellow educators. These hours can be put towards professional development.

How do we better include our LGBTQ+ students and navigate difficult conversations in our teaching practices? We will discuss resources and share strategies for being more inclusive of LGBTQ+ perspectives, both through content and through the ways we teach. We will discuss the concept of brave spaces and various approaches to inclusive teaching, including resources for educators, artists to share, and alternative frameworks for discussion. Time for questions, discussion and reflective art-making will be included.

  • All materials and equipment provided.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
