You've done your time studying the proportion of bored figure models sitting on a white box, and still lives of fake fruit make you want to stab your eyes out. Why are you taking these classes anyway? Because you want to shred, that's why. You want to draw warrior princesses and wizards in mortal combat at the edge of space and time while listening to the music that pissed your parents off. Put some life...and death...into your figure studies with models in sci–fi and fantasy costumes. You’ll get excellent instruction with Thomas Van Auken and bang your head to heavy metal music. If we made this class any more awesome it would be illegal.

  • Students will provide materials; any drawing or painting materials are welcome, but students should come prepared to work at an easel. Paints are welcome, but some sort of drawing material is recommended for every class.Students should expect to draw and paint figure models in fantasy and sci–fi costumes.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
