Explore flameworking and metalworking to design and create a piece of jewelry. You’ll take this object from concept to design to completion. You can create a ring, brooch, pendant or earring set from borosilicate glass and fine silver. The first half of the class will be held in the flameworking studio to design and create the glass elements. The second half is dedicated to creating the metal elements in the metal studio.

Totoritis, Kristi

Totoritis completed her BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond,VA majoring in crafts and material studies as well as painting in 2010. She completed a competitive internship residency in 2011 at the Chrysler Museum of Art Glass Studio and has continued to be faculty ever since. Recently Totoritis completed her Masters iof Visual Art with a focus in glass and print media from the Australian National University School of Art. She has studied both nationally and internationally at craft schools including Pilchuck Glass school, Pittsburgh glass Center, The Studio at Corning and Canberra Glassworks. Stevens, Danielle

Danielle Stevens is a local Richmond jeweler and artist. Completing her BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University with a focus in metal/jewelry. She spend the last 5 years of her career as an arts administrator, visual merchandiser and taught workshops at VCU and the Visual Arts Center. In the past year she received certification at the New Approach School for Jewelers and has continued her education through workshops at Penland and Arrowmont.
