Make your own clay votives, holiday ornaments and gift tags! We'll use basic hand-building techniques to create unique and personal pieces. Clay and tools are provided. You'll choose from our beautiful glazes and work will be fired.

  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
  • All materials are provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own clay tools, rubber stamps, string or ribbon if they have them.
Hull, Karen

Karen Hull is a Richmond ceramic artist who teaches both wheel throwing and hand building clay classes at Visual Arts Center. Karen holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MA from Montclair State University. Her interest in drawing and painting is reflected in the surface treatment of her functional ceramic pieces. Karen especially loves creating mugs and bowls. Her work is shown at Shockoe Bottom Clay on East Main Street in Richmond, VA. Website: karenhullceramics.com
