Learn techniques to make glass flow into new and exciting designs. Since these methods require a hotter firing, it's difficult to find kiln space during the regular class sessions. This five-day intensive will allow us to commit our kiln firings to high-fire flows such as pot melts, screen melts and flow bars. You'll learn to create more intricate patterns and discover how the higher temperatures make the glass liquid enough to flow, often making the pieces look more like furnace-made glass. One way to prepare for this workshop is to make simple pattern bars in advance which will then be arranged in a flow box. This class is open to all levels, but glass cutting skills are needed.
