Spend an evening immersed in language. We'll use group reading and meditative exercises to refresh and reset. As writers and creatives, our work is often fueled by a personal urgency. How we respond to questions of power, identity, tragedy even, infiltrates and often gives life to our work. With so much coming at us, how do we continue to have an authentic response without stressing the muse? “I rhyme / to see myself, to set the darkness echoing.” –Seamus Heaney, “Personal Helicon”

  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
  • Students will bring a poem to share. Please note this is not a writing class, but one focused on discussion and reading. This class is open to students working in any media; you do not need to have previous writing experience.
