Discover the fundamental concept of jewelry design and learn basic techniques for working with metals in this weekend introductory class. The class begins with instruction on techniques such as drilling, sawing, texturing, working with wire, and finishing techniques. Soldering with a torch will also be introduced. Students will then use these skills to make a piece of their choice and leave with a foundation of knowledge to take to the next level. Basic Materials and tools are provided.

  • This class will meet from 10 AM - 4 PM on Saturday and 1 PM - 4 PM n Sunday.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
  • All materials are provided.

Lynalise Woodlief is a studio jeweler and fine artist, born and bred in Richmond, VA. She graduated from VCU where she studied design, sculpture and metalsmithing. She combines mediums such as glass and metal to convey a sense of humor, warmth and organic elegance.
