Make a stone-like form out of copper and enamel that can be incorporated into your jewelry designs. You'll use a disc cutter and a dapping block to make small domes or oval shapes out of copper. You'll also learn how to cover a domed shape with enamel and fire it in the kiln. Plan to walk away from this class with enameled domes that you can use later in your work as you would stones.

  • Experience with cutting/sawing metal is helpful but not required. Much of the VisArts enamel is leaded, so it's very important that students wear masks when working with them.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
  • All materials provided.
