No exposure unit? No problem! Learn to make one-off prints, use multilayer printing techniques and explore different screenprinting materials. We'll cover screen prep and cleaning, basic exposure and print understanding, watercolor monoprinting and various other monoprinting techniques. We'll also look at color theory and design to create unique pieces.

  • This class will meet from 10 AM - 4 PM on Saturday and 1 PM - 4 PM on Sunday.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
  • You will need to provide any specialty paper for individual projects; basic paper and other materials and equipment are provided.
Chabot, Tosh

Born between waves in the crown of New England, now settled in the humid flatlands of Richmond, Tosh Chabot is an Arab/French-Canadian, non-binary person who finds comfort through painting. Since graduating from VCU with a BFA in Painting and Printmaking, they enjoy expressionism, landscapes, queer theory, and finely detailed printmaking. This influences their work as they move between realism and abstraction with a deep, yet soft palette. Their work ranges within mediums using watercolor, lithography, intaglio, latex house paint, and oils.
