Learn about letterpress and use VisArts' letterpress equipment to print coasters! Use a classic form of printmaking with our 50-year-old Challenge and Vandercook presses to experiment with a new way of making art in multiples.

  • All ages are welcomed, if accompanied by an adult.
  • Half the seats of classes will be available for pre-registration on the Monday before Second Friday: September 9th at 12pm. The rest of the seats will still be first come, first served sign up beginning at 5pm on September 13th and are open until the second session starts at 7:30.
  • We do not contact waitlist participants for 2nd Fridays classes; please do not join a waitlist. Instead, consider signing up in-person on Friday at 5pm!
  • All materials are provided.
Kay, Natalie

Natalie Kay is the owner of Off the Beaten Press. She lives and works in Richmond, VA but plays all over. An avid traveler, she finds inspiration for her designs everywhere she goes. Natalie grew up in the Washington, DC area and has a degree in Graphic Design from James Madison University, where they taught her the difference between a typeface and a font. She has a huge passion for design which translated naturally to printmaking. She loves to letterpress and shares that love with her students through classes at the local art center.
