Learn how to work like the great artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. Each day, we'll make a small reproduction of a masterpiece, then create our own using the materials of the day!
Chrissy grew up on a farm in Loudoun County riding horses and drawing. She studied art for two years at VCU and then left to finish her degree at SUNY Purchase where she received her BFA. She spent a number of years in New York working at the Whitney Museum and assisting such artists as Rackstraw Downes, Matthew Barney, and June Leaf. She is the recipient of a professional fellowship from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and has been awarded numerous residencies including the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, NES Artist Residency in Iceland, and most recently the Åland Islands in Finland. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Virginia and Iceland and can be found in the collections of Capitol One as well as many private collections. Website: www.chrissybaucom.com
