In this workshop we will use laser toner decals, experiment with underglaze transfers, and incorporate text and stamp imagery. Focus will be practicing these techniques on handmade tiles, however many of these applications can be formatted for use on wheel-thrown or sculptural work.

  • Onsite courses do not come with open studio this semester.
  • • Students and teachers will only be allowed to enter and exit the building through the Main Street entrance.
  • • Access to the building is restricted to the class’ two hour window. Students and teachers must ensure that their work is concluded, cleaned, and that they are out of the studio by the end of the scheduled class time to ensure a smooth transition for cleaning to commence.
  • • Anyone in the building must wear a mask at all times (students, teachers and staff).
  • • Students must ensure they maintain 6 ft of social distancing to fellow students and teachers.
  • • While communal spaces such as restrooms are available, moving between studios or the rest of the building is prohibited.
  • • When accessing the building for class, students must announce themselves to the front desk staff member from a 6 ft distance, who will confirm you on the roster and direct you to the studio.
  • You can bring a finished glazed and fired piece to add decals to.
