In this four-hour, wet working workshop, students will create a bird bath or garden stool by learning to create small and large basins with a pedestal. We'll discuss size and depth of basins appropriate for birds and connections for the base that provide maximum stability.

  • This workshop includes wet working only, students will have to use paid open studio in order to trim their work, + can use paid open studio or paid raku fridays to glaze their work. This workshop includes a 25lb bag of clay + bisque firing. Students should also bring a few bats as well as bat pins. Students will be working outdoors, with shade, socially distanced from other students. All students are required to wear a mask. There will be access to water, the bathroom, and air conditioned indoor cool down for temporary use. Confirmation of Clay Day Weekend classes will happen the Friday morning of that weekend.
