"Try working with metal and traditional metalworking tools. We'll explore different ways to cut metal safely and bend it accurately, then we'll try texturing, hammering and stamping. Students ages 9-11 will focus on cold connection (learning to drill, rivet, and friction
fit), then they'll create and fasten their own metal designs. Students ages 12-14 will learn how to
light the acetylene torch and use it to soften (anneal) copper. We'll also cover two, basic fold forming
techniques to create individual sculptural works of our own.
"
