Using digital cameras or a smartphone and the creative process, you'll produce fun photographs with your own toys as your models. Learn how to convey mood and feelings and photo tips specific to toy photography, which is a professional genre of photography. You'll also learn basic photo editing techniques using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

  • Students should have a digital camera or smartphone. If you are in need of a simple digital camera, please contact Tesni at Tstephen@visarts.org atleast a week before class starts. We have a few. Please bring a toy or action figure that is flexible with good joint movement-nothing taller than 6 inches.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.  
  • This is an On-site course. Students must follow social distancing protocols and wear masks at all times. For more info visit visarts.org.
Wolf, Janpim

Janpim Wolf is an art educator who graduated with a double major in Photography + Film and Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts. She has taught in diverse settings, both locally and internationally, enabling her to immerse herself in different cultures and incorporate these experiences into her teaching. As a lifelong learner, she has continued to expand her horizons, exploring various mediums such as flameworking and digital media arts at the Visual Arts Center and E-textiles at Penland School of Arts and Crafts.
