Students with previous glass fusing experience will have the opportunity to work on existing projects or new projects of their choosing. The class content will be designed around the requests of the students. Students can expect to either work on continuing projects they already have in progress or to learn and work with techniques for new projects.

  • Open only to those with previous glass experience. Students with previous glass fusing experience will complete ongoing projects or explore techniques for new projects. Class content will be planned around what participants most want to work on.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
  • This is an On-site course. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Schlotzhauer, Jude

Jude Schlotzhauer is a full time studio glass artist with a BFA in painting and an MFA in glass working. In addition to teaching glass kiln working at VCU for over 25 years, she has taught as a visiting artist at many universities and art centers throughout the country and in Mexico and Malaysia. Her work is in many private and corporate collections, including Capitol One, Verizon and Chesapeake Capitol Corp. Her public art commissions are installed locally at MCV, Randolph Community Center, Fire Station 16, Childrens’ Museum, and VCU dining center, and as far away as a Marine Officers complex in Japan. www.judeglass.com
