Have you ever wanted to drink out of a mug you made? Learn the techniques of coil building to make your own mug.

  • Please bring an old towel or apron. All other materials provided.
  • This class includes a glaze firing which students can choose from 2 options.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.  
  • This class counts as a special topics course toward VisArts’ Art League Certificate.
  • This is an On-site course. Students must follow social distancing protocols and wear masks at all times. For more info visit visarts.org.

I have been working with clay for over a decade. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University both in Art Education with a K-12 teaching license and Craft & Material Studies with a concentration in ceramics and fibers. Following my degree, I participated in several national and international residencies including Vermont Studio Center, The Hambidge Center, and Skopelos Foundation for the Arts in Greece.
