Learn the foundations of storytelling and fiction writing while exploring the possibilities that ghosts, specters, and spirits open up in our world and other realms. Students will learn to dissect ghosts and their stories, write their own, and create zines to trade and share with each other, all while learning more about character, setting, conflict, and theme.

  • Please bring anything to write on/with: notebook + pen, tablet, or computer, etc...
  • This class does not meet on 11/8.
  • This class counts as a special topics course toward VisArts’ Art League Certificate.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

Chow Reeve, Laura

Laura Chow Reeve is a writer & illustrator based in Richmond, VA. She has a M.A. in Asian American Studies from UCLA and has attended workshops at Tin House and VONA/Voices. Laura is a winner of the 2017 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers and the South Editor-at-Large of Joyland Magazine.
