What do ghosts and the things that haunt us tell us about ourselves and our society? In this class, we will take a deep dive into writing and reading ghost stories, all while learning more about key craft elements such as character, setting, theme, and conflict. By the end of the 4 weeks, every student will have completed at least one short ghost story which will be collected in a zine just in time to share with friends, family, and the community on Halloween.

  • Students will need to bring a notebook or computer for in-class writing exercises. Due to our limited time together, students will be asked to read assigned stories and write in-between class sessions.

This is an ONSITE course. All onsite students are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Students are expected to adhere to our COVID-19 policies. Onsite courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program. For more info please visit visarts.org.

Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
