Develop basic, metalworking skills to cut and shape metal, drill holes, and wrap wire to create unique spiraled ornaments for the holiday season. This class includes an introduction to traditional tools.

  • All materials are provided. If under age 18, must also register with an adult.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
  • Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined by our website. For more info visit visarts.org. This is an On-site course. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Metzfield, Jeannine

Jeannine’s journey forged a path into metalsmithing in 2002. She has studied Metals at Virginia Commonwealth University, The Visual Arts Center, Arrowmont and Penland School of Crafts. She currently teaches metalsmithing at The Visual Arts Center, as well as to private clients. In her studio she is inspired by the beauty and strength of nature. In her classes she promotes caring for the earth and connection to spirit.
