Learn to take photographs using 35mm film, process the film and print it in a darkroom! Physical photographs are beautiful, meaningful gifts for loved ones.

  • If under age 18, must also register with an adult. Students need to provide their own 35mm film camera. We may have extras to borrow for youth, please email tstephen@visarts.org to inquire.

    Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
  • Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined by our website. For more info visit visarts.org. This is an On-site course. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program: if interested please visit visarts.org. 

Jud Judson is a multi-medium artist based in Richmond, VA. With a focus in Darkroom practices, they like to explore other mediums through their photography. As a self-taught artist, they have formed a passion, for ceramics, screen-printing, letterpress, and mixed media printing processes.
