Join this class to continue wheel and hand building with plenty of feedback and guidance from the instructor as you explore independent projects. This class is best for intermediate and advanced students who are interested in furthering their ideas and have a solid foundation of the basics of ceramics .

  • Prerequisite: a beginner and intermediate class or comparable experience. All materials and equipment provided.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

  • You will receive 25 pounds of clay; additional clay is available for purchase.
     

    Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined by our website. For more info visit visarts.org. This is an On-site course. Camden, David

David’s been an active ceramics instructor, predominantly at the Visual Arts Center, for over 40 years. He studied at Goddard College in Vermont and relocated in 1977 to launch Camden Clayworks. He co-owns Cross Mill Gallery with Brad Camden and Jeremy Witt, which opened in 1971 by well known Virginia artist, Nancy Camden Witt. He’s placed best in show for ceramics/glass various times (2013, Occassion for the Arts). He has three daughters and is married to Dermatologist, Dr. Sharon Camden. He enjoys relaxing with his family and golden retriever at the beach. His hobbies include kayaking and tennis.
