Learn to draw complete works on your iPad using Procreate. Students will begin with a sketch in or outside of Procreate, then learn how to tighten their sketches, add color, and create custom brushes. Finally, stuents will export their work to Photoshop and learn to add textures and adjust colors for a finished illustration.

  • Please bring your iPad with procreate.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

  • Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined by our website. For more info visit visarts.org. This is an On-site course. On-site courses do not come with studio access outside of class time. Paid open studio access is available through our Studio Access Program: if interested please visit visarts.org.
Taylor, Theodore

Theodore Taylor III is an artist living in Richmond, Virginia with his wife Sarah and son Theo. During the day he works as a front-end web developer while also maintaining a career as a children’s book illustrator in his free time. His work is inspired by his love of music, comics, animation, video games, street art and more.

In 2014 he received the Coretta Scott King John Steptoe New Talent Award for his work in When The Beat Was Born: DJ Kool Here and the Creation of Hip Hop. In 2015 the book also won the Texas Bluebonnet Award.
