Break loose and open the mind with the possibilities of experimenting with paint! Have new experiences with color and technique in experimental painting! In this class, we will pour, splatter, crush and wash paint while learning a few fibers techniques to really get experimental! Learn how to paint big and bold while having fun making messes! Students will learn how to delicately sew their drawings into paper and weave into other artworks. We are going to learn a lot about our painterly instincts and how we work alongside other experimental painters!

  • Students will need to take work home with them between classes.
  • Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.

  • Students must follow current Covid-19 protocols, as outlined by our website. For more info visit visarts.org. This is an On-site course. Qualls, Tori

Hi, I'm Tori! I love to paint and talk about art! In my work I try to reuse supplies and repurpose old fabrics to give them new life. My subject matter usually leans toward domestic scenes such as the home, and the incorporation of fibers help bring an expressive quality to my work. I love all mediums, but I use a lot of paper in my work in different collage forms.
