Use wire and pliers to create beautiful ornaments to place on a tree, or embellish a gift! This hands-on experience will introduce you to basic wire working techniques and traditional metalworking tools all within the VisArts metals studio.

  • Ages 5+ are welcomed, if accompanied by a ticket holding adult.

    Each person participating must register separately for the class. Be sure to sign up ASAP to guarantee your spot and make sure it runs. Some seats may be available the night of, but it is recommended that you sign up early to ensure the class runs. We will confirm or cancel classes by 5pm the Thursday before.

    We do not contact waitlist participants for 2nd Fridays classes; please do not join a waitlist.

Metzfield, Jeannine

Jeannine’s journey forged a path into metalsmithing in 2002. She has studied Metals at Virginia Commonwealth University, The Visual Arts Center, Arrowmont and Penland School of Crafts. She currently teaches metalsmithing at The Visual Arts Center, as well as to private clients. In her studio she is inspired by the beauty and strength of nature. In her classes she promotes caring for the earth and connection to spirit.
