Campbell, Amanda

Amanda Campbell’s passion for sewing and fashion design started when her grandmother taught her at a young age. She quickly fell in love and took classes throughout middle and high school before attending Virginia Commonwealth University, where she graduated with a B.F.A. in fashion design and a minor in media studies in 2015. She started her own brand, ABLE By Amanda Campbell in 2013; showing and selling collections of women’s ready-to-wear and evening looks and creating custom designs for clients.
In 2020, Campbell began working at Sassy Jones, a women’s contemporary lifestyle brand. She is currently the lead designer there where she heads the creation of the brand’s clothing, jewelry, handbag, and accessories lines. She has been teaching at VisArts since 2021 and is eager to share her experience and knowledge of sewing and design with others.
